Mark Waid shits on his wretched run with one single issue. Nick Spencer wrote something like 60 issues of Cap from 2015 to 2017. I'm gonna be so sad when I come to the end of the Bendis run. Meanwhile Miles Morales continues to be awesome. Is Bobbi Morse having a mid life crisis by hooking up with Peter? Stop it Slott. I think I'm nearing the end of Slott's run. (seriously if you're not a Busiek-tier writer stop wasting my time with your generic narration) He has the same witty banter and camaraderie between characters, I find myself grinning a lot reading his issues, and like Bendis he avoids relying on narration boxes and instead lets characters drive the narrative forward. I've already written previously about how Tom Taylor's Injustice is the funniest (and often heart-warming) shit I've ever read and now reading more of his stuff makes me feel like he's in the same wheelhouse as my favourite writer Bendis. I read Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey (it was fine, though I'm still pissed about Marvel's treatment of Cyclops, who in 2017 is still dead along with what feels like half of Marvel's roster), and followed it with the X-Men: Red annual (published in 2018, but CMRO wisely placed it in their reading order after Resurrection).
